Fajita Cheeseburger with Spicy Cheddar

Burger night meets Mexican night. These flavorful fajita burgers will quickly become a favorite addition to your recipe rotation. The tortilla chips mixed with the burger are an unexpected delight and yes, they will stay crunchy!

Ingredients
ground beef
1 pound Organic Prairie Ground Beef
A small bowl of salt.

4 tablespoons taco/fajita seasoning (approximately one packet, divided into 2 equal portions)
Worcestershire sauce

2 handfuls crushed tortilla chips (for best crunch use yellow)

2 tablespoons Organic Valley Unsalted Butter

1 large bell pepper, cut into approximate ¼-inch strips

1 medium white or yellow onion, cut into approximate ¼-inch strips

8 slices Organic Valley Spicy Cheddar

Directions

In a skillet on medium to medium-high heat, add butter.
Once butter is melted, add bell pepper and onion and stir.
Add half the taco/fajita seasoning to the skillet.
Cook 6-12 minutes or until vegetables are hot and slightly softened.
Remove skillet from heat and set aside.
In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, the remaining portion of taco/fajita seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Add crushed tortilla chips and mix until well incorporated.
Form into 4 patties taking care to be gentle and not pressing too hard.
Cook patties with desired method to preferred doneness being sure to add 2 slices of Organic Valley Spicy Cheddar per burger after flipping. This is also a good time to toast the buns. Add butter to the cut side and toast for 2-3 minutes.
Top burgers with fajita topping and enjoy!
